How earnings are calculated#
Publishers of monetized data earn the same number of credits the licensee is charged. A datapoint priced at 12 credits earns its publisher 12 credits each time it is pulled.
List prices are set by the publisher and can be customized for every dataset and for every component within a dataset. Circa also grants access to new versions of the same dataset at no additional charge.
Pulls are charged separately by component:

Earnings are recorded at the moment of sale and added to the publisher's account.
The sales report#
The sales report is available to team Owners from the profile dropdown. It shows earnings across a selected date range, broken down by day, by sale, and by record.
Credits earned appear as a total, with the Circa credit portion in parentheses and dimmed. An entry reading 12 (2) means 12 credits were earned, 2 of which came from Circa credits, leaving 10 available for cashout.
Cashing out credits#
Circa uses two types of credit.
Eligible credits are purchased by platform users. A pull made with eligible credits generates revenue, so the earnings from it can be cashed out.
Circa credits are issued by Circa (for trials, testing, and promotional access). A data pull made with Circa credits generates no revenue, so the earnings from it appear in the sales report but cannot be cashed out.

Eligible credits can be sold back to Circa for cash. Select Cash out creditsfrom the profile menu in the upper right. First-time use redirects to Stripe, where business payment details are connected.
Cash out is available to registered businesses only, and must be verified through Stripe to prevent fraud.
Credit value#
Credits are purchased at \0.95 each and sold back to Circa at a standard rate of \0.55 each.
Publishers interested in rates different from the standard rates above should reach out to contact@circa.ai
